About me

The facts

I am a neurologist in Gallneukirchen near Linz in Upper Austria. I completed my studies at the University of Vienna and then completed my training as a specialist in neurology at the University Clinic for Neurology at the Medical University of Vienna. As part of this, she received extensive training in all areas of neurology. I headed the department of neurography / electromyography (NLG / EMG) at the clinic, trained our assistant doctors and worked in various special outpatient departments. It was a particular pleasure for me to be able to set up the laboratory for neuromuscular ultrasound in our department.

I always liked to work scientifically because I think it’s nice to answer questions that nobody has ever asked. That is why I am also the author and co-author of numerous scientific papers. In 2013, I also habilitated on the topic of migraines at the Medical University of Vienna.

Furthermore, I have the additional diploma for NLG and EMG, the diploma for special pain therapy and the diploma for clinical investigator.

I am acting as deputy head of the nerve sonography working group of the Austrian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine and on the scientific advisory board of the Austrian Headache Society. I give lectures at national and international congresses, as well as training courses especially for specialist medical colleagues.

… and further more

I like to work. With enthusiasm and commitment.

Furthermore, the training of interns and colleagues is very important to me. With the former so that they can take good tools with them for their future work, with the latter with regard to lifelong learning – which will never stop for me either.

My family, art – especially photography and fine arts – and sports are an important balance.
